Anyone who would make the joke “Charlton Heston announced again today that he is suffering from Alzheimer’s”, and when questioned about it reply “I don’t care. Charlton Heston is the head of the National Rifle Association. He deserves whatever anyone says about him.” is the same ignorant biggot he accuses others of being.
But if the you’re a liberal and you’re slamming a conservative, that’s ok in the US of A these days, apparently. Tolerance is only demanded of those that disagree with them.
But on this day, Dr. King’s birthday of all days, to slam Charlton Heston. Charlton Heston is one of this nations true treasures still gracing this earth. He has spent a lifetime advocating civil liberties. Yes, today Charlton Heston is the out-going president of the National Rifle Assocation (the only Constitutioanal right the Liberals and ACLU disavow). But in past years Mr. Heston has been active in many other civil rights causes. And the cause of which Dr. King spoke, marched and gave his life; one of the greatest causes of Liberty in our Nation, is a cause that Charlton Heston was a part of.
In fact, he marched with Dr. King the day Dr. King had a dream….. (And even Tom Brokaw reported that in the last month!)
