Britian has found a way to solve their growing crime problem. Ignore it. Under new guidelines police are not to bother with reports of certain types of crime, including burglary and assault unless there is immediately available evidence that would lead to closing the case.
After last years botched crime statistics fiasco other ways to […]

My fears were just confirmed during my conversation with my neighbor. There will be no restitution for the approximately $85 loss.
At least he had found my wife’s missing camera, though there was little left by the time the beast had finished with it. The only thing that is going to come of this is […]

In my efforts to resolve the issue of the missing UPS packages I’m attempting to communicate with my neighbor, who is the owner of the felonious Labrador in question. While I’ve not yet gotten a one-on-one conversation the message he left on my machine this morning isn’t encouraging.
I’ve known this neighbor for years (as […]

A long time friend has emailed me to point out that his Father, a once prominent figure in local politics, has started a website for all of his editorial pieces.
So drop by Tony’s site and see what he has to offer.

The mystery of the missing Amazon / UPS order has now been solved. And in the course of my investigation another missing UPS package that we’d forgotten about (figured it hadn’t yet been shipped actually) was found. In shreds. In the neighbors front yard.
So, in the course of a week his Lab has now cost […]

So I’m a geek. When I do occassionally use KDE’s file browser I like my files to show up as the correct mime type. While there are a number of text files that don’t show up correctly there is one that I can and did fix with this icon.

Contacting UPS is easy. Getting them to give you any info or help you out is yet another story. As for Amazon, after not receiving a response to my first inquiry within 24 hours I’ve submitted another. No phone number that I can find anywhere on their site either…..
All this just to save […]

The crisis in Britian has been a thing to watch over the last few years. With crime on a steep rise you would think they’d figure out that disarming the victims was the wrong direction by now. But no…

According to the great Hollywood left driving an SUV is like sending money to the Terrorists.
First off, I really think these Hollywood types have too much time on their hands and need to get real jobs. And leave the rest of us alone. But I know that’s dreaming.
So instead how about this. One of those […]

Well UPS seems to have done it again. Last week I ordered Dynamic HTML (Second Edition) from Amazon thanks to the generosity of a kind client. According to the UPS tracking system the package was put in front of my door last Friday… Guess what…. it wasn’t there.
Either UPS had the wrong house which isn’t […]

So we’re insane for fearing firearms registration? We’re paranoid for believing each new “logical” restriction is the incremental road to tyranny?
That’s what Canadian gun owners thought and the incremental destruction of Canada as a free Nation is almost complete. The Sheeple have won their just deserts.

It seems that someone is finally taking notice of American companies aiding and abetting communist nations with nuclear and missle technology. Too bad they’re ignoring the treason of the man who instigated the mess.

Conservatism has been shown in such a negative light during the Occupation Of America that conservatives are eager for “conservative” public figures to stand up to the media for them. But the problem I have already seen, and which is growing along with conservative media voices, is that these people are not all our […]

On the heals of my diatribe yesterday comes this article on the somewhat expected results of the D.C. “Sniper” case.
One of the most horrific threats to American liberties is the incrementally passive approach those who wish to destroy our Nation are taking to strip away our liberties. One small incedent here or there can often […]

After a week and a half the vacation is over. And what a lovely mess I had on my first work day! Slushy, icy and snowy weather are not the best items to lure me out of a warm bed. Let alone lure me into my car for the usual 60 mile […]

General Joe Foss passed away today at the age of 87.
Though many of us may remember General Foss as a former President of the National Rifle Association (’88-’90) he was also a WW2 ACE (26 kills) and a great American of the type found to seldom in these times.

I want to take a moment to introduce a few friends. Sierra1 and QuietShootr (aka Sniper) are close friends and fellow range bums. And Ronnie, an aquaintence of many years, is a new Dad! Congrat’s Ronnie!
