The effort to renew the 1994 ban on semi-automatic rifles is about to begin with none other than Sen. Feinstein leading the charge. Support is only luke warm so far and the website which tracks the position of members of the Congress and Senate offers an optimistic view that such a measure would be defeated.
Though the ban is due to expire in about 19 months, Rep. Ron Paul’s bill HR153, has gained co-sponsors; Jeff Miller of Florida, and Butch Otter of Idaho. Time to write our own Representatives and ask them to join the fight.
