Network Solutions
Times have really changed. Back in the day Network Solutions was the ONLY option for registering domain names. And new registrations were accomplished by sending an email form in and then they would bill you based off the information in the emailed form.
Then the registry business opened up to other registrars, but I stayed with Network Solutions simply because it was easier to only have to deal with one registrar for the multitude of domains that I must manage for myself, company and clients. But they were more expensive than the start-up competition and their user interface has been lacking for years.
But no more! Occassionally I’ll think about those two odd domains I have floating around under a Network Solutions account that I couldn’t even access. Yesterday I decided to once again attempt to access this account and to my surprise Network Solutions has recently upgraded their management software.
Not only was I able to finally retrieve my lost password but I was able to merge the last of my domains under my master account. Now any and all domain names that have my handle in them, anywhere, are manageable from one location.
I know that Network Solutions is the 800 pound guerilla in the doman registry business and a bit more expensive than some, but my choice to remain a loyal Network Solutions customer has proven to be the right choice for me.
