Sometimes I read a news story and just go DUH! This is one of those stories, howThe State Department is undermining President Bush to the point of actually working toward his defeat in November.

Now I have some grudging respect for Colin Powel, but not a lot. Since President Bush came to office Sec. Powel has undermined the President and besmirched his policies in small but obvious ways. Outside of the war on terror teen abstinance and abortion come immediately to mind.

But for the DUH! part. This isn’t new folks! The State Department has been giving and bartering away this nation to the communists and 2-bit third world dictators since before the cold war.

Not since the early 1800’s have Presidents completely wiped out the top levels of management in every department of the government after taking office. No, they leave these beauracrats scheming and plotting from President to President and they have now become the real power behind the government and they know it.
