Nancy’s Call For Stem Cell Research
With all due respect to Mrs. Reagan, has she already forgotten President Reagan’s strong stance against abortion? While Senators pile onto the stem cell research cause as a way to put it to President Bush, Mrs. Reagan needs to stop and rethink what she, in her grief, is asking for.
If stem cell research had provided a cure for alzhimers in time to help President Reagan, according to his own speaches and writings President Reagan would not have knowingly accepted it at the cost of even a single murdered child.
I feel Laura Bush, the gracious lady that she is, handled the situation well in explaining why she could not support Mrs. Reagan’s request. In time it is my hope that Mrs. Reagan’s anquish will mend and she will realize the President and Laura Bush did the right thing by both her and President Reagan.
