Lee Enfield Rifles

In researching my newest family members, and members to be acquired in coming days, I have come across a few resources of interest.

The Lee Enfield Rifle Site (and mirror)

As for what I’m planning to add to my collection, that’s still a bit up in the air. It seems a fair number of No1’s and No4’s have hit the shores and will become available in coming weeks. I’ll have to see the inventory lists before I can make the final list but overall it will look like:

No1 MkIII BSA
No1 MkII or MkIII Lithgow
No4 MkI, II or III Long Branch
No4 MkI Savage US Property marked
No4 MkI, II orIII Irish Contract
P14 Eddystone (US Property marked .303)
P17 Eddystone (US Property marked 30-06)
No2a Ishpore (Indian 7.62×51 Nato)
No5 Mk1 ( my current carbine is a well done conversion of a Long Branch No4 Mk1)

I’d love to add a No4 MkI T (sniper) but the last one I saw for sale went for $3k. Ouch…. I really like Chris’s collection , very nice.

Sadly, Enfields have proven as addictive as FALs. Hopefully this disease doesn’t spread to Mausers (or Garands and 1903 Springfields)
