Galyans
The tactics Dick’s used to run down Galyans is enough like a WalMart move for me to dislike them. But mainly because Galyans has been such a mainstay in my sporting goods needs and I do my best to keep my money inside the state. Granted the Galyans that is selling out (in all that the term engenders) isn’t the same Galyans of even a decade ago since the Galyans family sold out years ago. But they’re still HQ’d in Plainfield and have a couple of very nice stores in the Indy area. With the Dick’s in central Indiana being so close to the area Galyans I’m wagering the newer building will be kept though the Castleton Square Mall location is superior to the Dick’s in that area.
I guess the only thing left to do is hope for some really good clearance sales before I shift all my business to Gander Mountain as my way of protesting and keeping my money from going to Pittsburg.
