DNC Convention Boosts President Bush
It looks like President Bush gets the “bounce” instead of Kerry…. better yet it’s a CNN-GALLOP poll (i.e. a lefty source)
Bush reaped a 5-point bounce from the Democratic confab, and he now leads Sen. Kerry, 50 percent to 47 percent.
Remember that after the DNC Convention in 1988 Dukakis held a 17 point lead over Bush Sr. Does this mean anything? Maybe not as the political landscape has changed quite a bit since the ‘88 elections.
But couple this with the fact that only 2 Senators have ever won the Presidency and the Kerry-Edwards bulb certainly dims a bit.
