Hi,
I know I wont convince you that you are wrong, but it is people like you that give America such a bad name. If a white middle aged, middle income person in Australia ( one of America’s strongest Allies) thinks the US is messing things up. What do you think people in poorer countries think?
By the way, we don’t have many guns in Australia and our Democracy make the US look like a facist state.
Cheers,

You are right, you won’t change my mind. I appreciate your comments but it’s people like you that give Austrailia a bad name.
After all you rolled right on over and let the politicians take away the heart and soul of your once proud and independant nation. And in exchange for what? Forget guns, or swords for that matter, you guys cannot even own iPods!
I do, btw, know several of your fellow Aussies who would strongly disagree with you. Maybe that’s why a few of them now live in the western United States.
Best Wishes

I know a lot of Aussie’s who disagree with me two and I don’t have a problem with that or your position either. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion and I never… sorry, try to never operate from a personal point of view.
The current government in Australia was fairly elected (which seems not to be the case in the US, but from what I have read, that is not conclusive) so my role is to convice the people that we need a change and not to change the politicians. Lets face it I’m not god
My problem is that the US government is clearly controlled (or strongly influenced) by corporations, in a much stronger way than here in Australia. This leads it to act in a corporate way. Proclaim free trade, yet subsidize local agriculture. Set up international law courts, for everyone else but the USA. Proclaim the need for peace, but produce and use more military than the rest of the world combined.
I also know a lot of American’s, from both sides, so I try not to make it personal and I apolagise for the initial comment in my first post.
Cheers,
