Neurosurgeons stop handling trauma cases because of liability risk
If this doesn’t prove John Edwards lied in the debate, saying that liability insurance and litegation costs were not an issue in skyrocketing medical costs…. But then Edwards is a trail lawyer and his “special interest group” will do anything to prevent tort reform..
And before anyone emails me that this is only a small part of rising medical costs… it is only a small part. Other parts of the equation is insurance companies dictating to doctors in their “network” what they’ll pay for a service. This has lead to artificial inflation by the doctors so they can get market value for their services instead of less than the cost of delivery.
If this has become such an obvious issue with a hand full of insurance players imagine how much worse if Hillary & Kerry get their wish of a single payer system?
