Bush is ‘Undermining UN with Aid Coalition’??? The feeling that the U.N. isn’t up to the challenge is historically accurate.. Yet these #$&*#@$ say that we (the U.S.) don’t have a good record ‘coordinating with anyone’.
And I suppose that too many groups coming to the aid of the 11 Asian nations effected by the tidal wave is wrong, too.
You might note that the nations of this ‘evil’ coalition of aid is made of those nations giving the most money to Asia… Imagine their not trusting the U.N. to not soak up all the aid monies with ‘overhead’ when these same nations are sending their own personnel to do the disbursements.
At what point can I simply tell these people they’d better never cross my field of fire? I think we’re about there….
But the worse thing is that these idiots (to be kind, my mother reads these pages) are using the deaths of 110,000+ people to further their own Anti-American agenda rather than do the right thing. You know, the ‘right thing’ that thing that Americans and America naively tries to do only to get back handed like this.
I would say it’s time to get us out but there is a saying, keep your friends close, keep your enemies closer. New York is pretty darn close.
