Wow 44 comment spams ovenight. That’s about 43 more than I’ve received during the last 2 months. Needless to say a few tweaks to the anti-spam methods were in order… we’ll see how long it takes them to figure it out this time.

Hi Joe, thanks for stopping by! There are a few G1 kits floating around but most are in private hands now. If you want a classic wood furnitured FAL I would recommend finding either a Styer Stg58, South African (FN or SA Mfg) or Brazilian IMBEL kit then install a set of Iron Wood Designs wood stock sets. Or replace only the butt with standard G1 Type C wood and use the synthetic handguards is also quite common and less prone to breakage.
GunThings currently has Excellent condition Stg58 kits and South African kits - if you want the very best available the Stg58 is it. For a shooter and collector the African kits has interesting histories and are often FN Herstal made.
