Some might see Southern Democrats Turning GOP as a change in course of these converting Democrats. And while it is true the Democrat party has move away from these southern Democrats the Republican party has moved up to fill that void. And in doing so have become the party Democrats were 20 years ago. The Republican Party is no longer the conservative party of the midwest and middle America but what counts as “conservative” in liberal bastions such as California and New York.

Otherwise they’re all Liberals to we mid-Westerners.
