Foreign Convictions
The Supreme Court has ruled that foreign convictions do not count against right to own firearms. Some conservatives may see this as a loss for a Nation of Law but it is a win for a Nation of Justice.
For example a man convicted of possessing ammunition in Mexico would otherwise be barred from owning firearms in the United States even though the “crime” in Mexico is completely legal in the United States.
