Another Nail in the Coffin
The ATF has issued a letter that basically states no more barrels and receivers will be allowed into the country if they’re for anything that they deem “non-sporting”. That means FALs.
I would imagine parts kits without barrels (notice recent Century sporter FAL’s have US made barrels?) and there are US sources for FAL barrels, mainly DSArms. The Imbel receivers are another story and that concerns me more than the barrels. There are US makers, DSArms, Enterprise, Century and Dan Coonan but the Imbel has been such a mainstay for so long they will be missed.
The upside is that it took this measure to even slow down the build-it-yourself firearms enthusiasts. Hopefully this is only a bump in the road.
While I know it’s totally pointless but I’ll forward this letter to my congressman and those bums we call Senators with my complaint. But the gun control laws gives the bureaucrats a lot of power to lord over we peons and we have just witnessed an example of it.
As I related to someone earlier today Greece and Rome were brought down by their bureaucrats and we will be no different.
