Marxists join Muslims in opposing US
If there is any doubt to why Castro’s Commie buddy Chavez isn’t much liked here in the US here is as obvious an example as I can find. I don’t think Chavez is among the listed Marxist groups but a Marxist is a Marxist unless they’re running for the President in 2008 then they’re a Democrate from New York.
So while Robertson so pathetically tries to back out of his statements he was right the first time. i’ve heard the debate that his job makes his statement wrong and I can concede that point. But hose who compare his statements to a “Christian fatwa” are just plain idiots.
And those who say he is wrong to openly say it are also wrong for Chavez is a serious threat that not only the Media is sweeping under the rug but the Bush Administration is also careful to not draw attention to the fact. I
The real error of Robertson statements though is that what if the Administration has an Op underway? Chavez has been telling anyone who will listen that “America” is out to get him (sort of like a guy spitting on you then cowering before you punch him out) and trying to assassinate him. Maybe he’s right and Robertson just saved his life for the immediate future.
Now before someone writes to tell me how terrible it is to actually want to wax someone in cold blood remember 3 things. War is a continuation of politics by other means. If someone had taken out a certain Austrian Corporal in 1935 a million people wouldn’t have died. And lastly anyone who believes Chavez or South America is “shocked” by this has no clue as to how politics are done in South America where government change via coup d’ eta is norm.
