The Borders and Posse Comitatus
I hear it often on Rightwing talk radio but am fearful of the (usually Rightwing neo-con) push, seemingly grass roots, to roll back Posse Comitatus so that the military can be used to close the borders. The lack of action on our borders by the so-called conservative administration is likely meant to build a head of steam under this exact issue. Besides it’s likely unnecessary and the propensity of a Government to abuse the citizenry using the military as internal law enforcement is so very real it can be seen in more nations across the globe than not.
