Bye-Bye Harriet Miers
I think most of us instinctively knew something was wrong when top Democrats came out offering support to Miers nomination or agreeing that the President’s strategy was a good one, when she was originally announced. And they didn’t think that would tip us off?
So I find it interesting that Reid, Schumer and Feinstein would now, post her stepping aside, defend Miers then wonder why the Right rejected her. Ironically most of the stories I’ve seen where a Far-Left Democrat is sticking up for Miers are posted by the Associated Press.
Even Howard Dean seems miffed at Bush for not pushing harder to get Harriet into that seat. How many conservatives who supported Miers would have done an immediate about face knowing the DNC chief supported Bush’s pick?
