It seems the EU justice chief can find no evidence on CIA prisons in Europe. Personally I think they should haul the reporters down and sweat them for their sources since it’s the seriousness of the crime that counts rather than the evidence.

Quite intersting that it’s OK to randomly ask people for ID’s in Miami but refuse to show one at a Federal Center and it’s cause celeb. Most startling was the ACLU’s comment on the Miami checks:
Howard Simon, executive director of ACLU of Florida, said the Miami initiative appears aimed at ensuring that people’s […]

Now that the rest of America’s problems have been solved Arlen Specter is having a hissy fit over the Eagle’s “ruined” season. Something about a guy named Terrell Owens… who ever he is
Still goes to show you what is considered important in America today and it saddens me. But it doesn’t surprise me. […]

And they wonder why the UN is loathed, they cannot even bring genocide in Darfur to a vote. And the press has been strangely quiet.

All the “cut and run” talk and whining over the expense of the cheapest war in the history of this country is having some rather serious repercussions with our eastern allies.
The governor said the U.S. military could not counter a wave of millions of Chinese soldiers prepared to die in any onslaught against U.S. forces. […]

Oh the irony! I personally have huge concerns with bio-fuels anyway. If people think the oil supply is unstable just wait until something like soybean rust (a fungus) causes a catastrophic fall in production and soy-diesel shoots to the moon.
It really doesn’t matter what “alternative energy” is suggested it is not as cheap as […]

It looks like Chavez’s real number one export is Communist Revolution. They havea “liberation army” has been operating in Ecuador and are providing training to Communist Terrorists in Peru, Bolivia, Chile Argentina, the Dominican Republic, Colombia and Venezuela.
Its nice we can clean up part of the sandbox now how about taking care of […]

Now that the British Isles are safe, they banned guns there you know, the police there are requesting more officers trained with guns because the crime rate is skyrocketing.
It seems when the crooks realize they are unopposed they are much more brash in their criminal behavior.
Hint to the Brits, turn your subjects back into […]

I really like John Bolton: Bypass U.N. if Not Reformed…. which is probably why the Left hates him so much.

Hugo Chavez is perhaps trying to politically one-up the president by offering an incredible gift to the Bronx. Eight million gallons of heating oil at cheap prices to low income families.

Looks like Massachusetts is getting chummy with Venezuela’s Castro.
Citgo Petroleum Corp., a subsidiary of Venezuela’s state-owned oil company, will supply oil at 40 percent below market prices. It will be distributed by two nonprofit organizations, Citizens Energy Corp. and the Massachusetts Energy Consumers Alliance.
The agreement gives President Hugo Chavez’s government standing as a provider […]

Here comes more dishonest environmentalism on the melting up north. Yet not one mention of anartica’s net gain in ice. Seems this balancing act disrupts their agenda so they ignore it.
Liberal Madness trumps Science category since so little is in honest use in the article.

There is an awsome report (profanity warning) over on the Jawa Report giving feedback on various weapon systems in play over in the sandbox. The views seem to be primarily that of the Marines but then the Marines do tend to be a bit more rough on their hardware.
A quick overview would count […]

I seem to recall recounting some of the problems that have lead to such dramatic increases in violent crime while all other crime stats have dropped dramatically. As if on que Reuters is reporting that spanking makes the children more violent.
Children who are spanked when they misbehave are more likely to be anxious and aggressive […]

The only thing worse than a RINO is a RINO talking about the image problems in the party they themselves created. There is no one on the face of the planet who has made the Republican party appear as fractured as John McCain himself.
But he is right that “we can recover”. Unfortunately […]

“A nation can survive its fools, and even the ambitious. But it cannot survive treason from within. As enemy at the gates is less formidable, for he is known and carries his banner openly. But the traitor moves amongst those within the gate freely, his sly whispers rustling through all the alleys, heard in the […]

Hm… Which soldier type are you?
You scored as Special Ops. Special ops. Your sneaky, tactful, and a loner. You prefer to do your jobs alone, working where you don’t come into contact with people. But everyonce in a while you hit it big and are noticed and given fame. Your given the more […]

Something you won’t hear about on the evening news or even read in your local papers - the Orange County Florida NAACP chief switched to the Republican party. He notes its a business decision rather than a idealogical one. There is room for pragmatics in politics, I’m just not used to […]

It has been slowly building for some time now but it finally looks like the all out assault on Hoosier’s rights is ramping into full swing.
How ignorant to believe that banning firearms is the solution to especially violent crime. Nationally crime is at a 30+ year low. If guns and citizens carrying them was […]

From a technology point Cringely’s Google-Mart article is fascinating. But considering the ramifications of it is rather scary. Consider the size of Microsoft as an economic and technological force in the world. Now imagine what it will take to overcome that.
Still a freight container with 5000 processors and 3.5 peabyes of storage is impressive. […]

And some are trying to spin it as a Brutal New Weapon. I’m glad for the boys - new toys are always cool but they’re even more cool when they work as advertised. And this is seldom more important than when equiping Uncle Sam’s Misguided Children.
There is a lot of whining about collateral […]
