Half of All Americans OK With Torture
As I would expect the American populace is much less sqeemish on “torture” than the media or politicians which is made ever so clear based on what passes as torture these days.
I’m personally opposed to real torture simply because it is one of the things, value of life and humanity, that separates us from the heathen we’re fighting. But ever since Abu Grab and more recently Club Gitmo what passes as torture would make most Frat boys laugh. I’m not saying that it is pleasant for the bad guys but hazing them doesn’t cause serious bodily harm which is much more than we can say about their actions against even their own.
