Repercussions
All the “cut and run” talk and whining over the expense of the cheapest war in the history of this country is having some rather serious repercussions with our eastern allies.
The governor said the U.S. military could not counter a wave of millions of Chinese soldiers prepared to die in any onslaught against U.S. forces. After 2,000 casualties, he said, the U.S. military would be forced to withdraw.
When a partner such as Japan fears the U.S.’s lack of resolve endangers their security everyone has a problem. Sadly I don’t believe the Japanese are wrong to be concerned.
But I am ashamed that it has become necessary.
