I’ve added a gallery for Mike’s M24/47 after giving it a little TLC over my vacation time. The wood was in pretty good shape. I used 3M green scrubby and mineral spirts to clean up the wood then rubbed in 4 applications of BLO to seal it up. Later it’ll get rubbed down with some bees wax wood polish to add a bit of sheen. The metal is in excellent condition with a rich, deep blue-black finish. Other than careful removal of the cosmoline the metal went back into the wood much the way it came to me.

Now only if this was in my collection instead of Mikes!
