The New Antenna is Up!
It only took a week to get a day I could actually do it but the new television antenna is finally mounted on the rotor mast. The antenna is our Christmas present from my Father. And it is huge as the photo shows…

Note that little bitty thing behind the big one? That’s the old antenna, purchased by my Father sometime around 1980. The new boom is 152 inches versus the old one which was 72 inches.
There was a bit of concern that I’d get such a huge boom mounted on the short mast section sitting ontop of the rotor, but it fit.. just.
The change in reception is awsome, too. Over the last year or so the number of channels we could pick up went from 5 to 2 and on a good day we could pickup a 3rd channel. Now we pickup the full range of both Indy and Terre Haute channels. I guess we were optimistic we might find something worth watching on all of these new channels but alas, no.
