Russians: British Spied Using Fake Rock
It has been discussed for years that spy activity between nations, especially Russia and the West actually increased after the end of the “Cold War”. Most of the increases were originally noted were Russian spying increases inside the US but I’m sure they weren’t alone.
Now the British have gotten so sloppy the Russians are outing them which is pretty serious. Normally these things follow the lines of “better the devil you know than the one you don’t” because the devil you know will lead you to the insiders feeding them information as this particular case bares out. There are other motives on the part of the Russian’s in playing this out this much in the media. How much of it is the way the British have delt with the situation? We’ll never know, I’m sure… but it will be interesting to how much more makes it out into the media.
