Border Shooting

Tuesday, January 3rd, 2006

Let Mexican bandits and rogue military groups shoot at us and Mexico is silent. But let someone get shot in the commission of a crime and they demand an investigation.
Strange how the Mexican government and activists who want the American South West to be returned to Mexico through the invasion of illegals get more […]

Now its Tornadoes

Tuesday, January 3rd, 2006

The storm that spawned a couple of tornadoes today was reported as showing rotation even as it passed through Indiana. The radio said there have been 13 January tornados in Indiana in the last decade. Fortunately they passed us over today there were no injuries.

Blanco orders remodeling

Tuesday, January 3rd, 2006

I’m so happy to see Democrat Governor Blanco has everything under control and rebuilt in New Orleans and has moved on to remodeling her offices. But what about that $1B budget shortfall Governor?
Imagine if a Republican were doing this?

Tuesday, January 3rd, 2006

It’s a good thing this guy didn’t try that in a Baptist church, especially one south of the Mason-Dixon…

Zastava M24/47

Monday, January 2nd, 2006

I’ve added a gallery for Mike’s M24/47 after giving it a little TLC over my vacation time. The wood was in pretty good shape. I used 3M green scrubby and mineral spirts to clean up the wood then rubbed in 4 applications of BLO to seal it up. Later it’ll get rubbed down […]

Monday, January 2nd, 2006

And yet another serious Windows vulnerability putting everyone at risk who uses Windows. This one appears a bit more serious than the typical Windows security problem in that all it takes is browsing an infected website - though granted that’s not atypical for an MS vulnerability.
I have to wonder if Firefox on Windows is as […]

Back to Work

Monday, January 2nd, 2006

Two weeks of vacation have come to an end today. So I get up, get ready, pack up all the stuff I brought home to work on, pack the last of the Manicotti and salad for lunch and head for the office. When I get there though I’m in for something of a surprise […]

Good bye 2005 - Hello 2006

Sunday, January 1st, 2006

Its hard to believe the new year is already here. Seems like just yesterday I was out in the woods taking pictures of the spring buds. New Years is a stay at home affair here, better to stay out of the way of the armatures. Manicotti, bread and salad is a good enough […]
