The EMF Saga Ends?
I just received a call from the gunshop and his gunsmith found the problem to simply be an oversized cylinder lock which he promptly fixed. And it’s ready for me to pick up. Glad I had the shop smith look at it instead of sending it all the way back to EMF. Granted EMF’s average 2 week turn around (as reported on many bulletin boards) is astonishingly good in the industry 2 days is always better than 2 weeks when you’re waiting for your new toy to be in hand.
The worst part is that if this had been a 1911 or one of many other automatics I’d been able to fix it myself. Revolver timing, especially on SAA clones, is new to me and I have much to learn. Of course, the flip side of that was that if I knew everything about SAA’s that I know about the 1911 I’d not find SAA’s nearly as interesting as I do.
