Senate Panel Demands Oil Co. Tax Records
So while the rest of us are fretting high gas prices guess what the Senate is doing? They’re fretting over the possibility that they didn’t get their share of those dreaded oil profits.
Seems if they were really concerned they’d reduce the at-the-pump taxes or maybe allow exploration and drilling in the US, specifically Alaska. I don’t care if we upset a moose let alone the Green Peace or Sierra Club membership. A million to million and a half barrels of oil a day would go a fair way toward relieving the pressure. But then so would eliminating or consolidating boutique fuel mixes. Oh yeah… thank you Mr. President, the one of the few things you’ve done right this year - now make it permanent.
