Can’t get enough of Teddy Roosevelt?
If it is true that Amicans can’t get enough of Teddy Roosevelt, and I have no reason to disbelieve it as I, too, am a Rough Rider fan, then it really does put the lie to Time Magazine’s recent article on the demise of cowboy diplomacy. (Also here and here)
Of course, it can also be argued that those being blamed for the end of “cowboy diplomacy” have not practiced it since shortly after the start of the festivities over in the sandbox. For in reality almost every Bush failure in the this, World War 3 - The war on Islamist Fascism, has been the result of listening to either Congress, the media, idiot savant advisers and “popular opinion”. Not from actually carrying out real “cowboy diplomacy” for if that were the case things would be a lot better.
