Just when I thought I’d seen it all… it looks like the little British MG will be built in Oklahoma, by the Chinese.
Having once owned a British car I fully expect the Chinese version will be better built and more reliable.

In June the police warned British women they should drink less to avoid being raped. The messege must have not soaked in for now they’re trying a different tact - warning them to at least wear knickers to avoid exposing themselves when they fall down drunk on public streets. And getting raped.
Looks […]

Looks like Citgo is going to overhaul their distribution system and stop supplying gasoline to 1800 stores in the United States. That’s 1800 of 13,000 total units. Interestingly the states most effected are said to be Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, North Dakota, Ohio, Oklahoma and South Dakota plus a limited number of stations […]

If ever there were an indicator that President Bush’s stance on immigration is wrong Bill Clinton praising it would be it.

Now isn’t this interesting… Ole Gorby says we have winners complex and shouldn’t force our style of Government on them. The Lefties have to be screaming that their favorite Commie just admitted in public America won the cold war. And Gorby, we’d be under a Soviet style communist dictatorship if you’d won so don’t […]

As of this hour the DNS records have all been updated to point my domains (see Site URL’s lower right) to this, the new site, and over the next few hours everyone will come here instead of the old site/server.
The visible changes aren’t that many, but, there are certainly a few. The most […]

If it is true that Amicans can’t get enough of Teddy Roosevelt, and I have no reason to disbelieve it as I, too, am a Rough Rider fan, then it really does put the lie to Time Magazine’s recent article on the demise of cowboy diplomacy. (Also here and here)
Of course, it can also be […]

Obviously someone has never heard of fair use. After this past weekends trips to the box office its no wonder people want to find movies with good stories (something that tends to be lacking in modern fare) and clean out the language and nudity so the family can watch them together.
Everytime I […]

“Good intentions will always be pleaded for every assumption of authority. It is hardly too strong to say that the Constitution was made to guard the people against the dangers of good intentions. There are men in all ages who mean to govern well, but they mean to govern. They promise to be good masters, […]

We hear that education is bad because parents aren’t involved and the teachers are over worked. I can’t help but wonder how that fits with a pro-homosexual marriage resolution passed by the NEA. How does further destroying the family help children learn? One would think that if the NEA were truly intersted in […]

So if the Dem’s in NJ want to replace a Senate Candidate, that’s OK, but when the a Repub wants to quit forget it. You know I would mind less if they’d just choose one and apply it to both equally. But then that’d take away the Democrat advantage, wouldn’t it.

I’ve been waiting for this, Hoosiers can get gun permits for life. Basically, they’re going to charge us for the next 20 years renewals at one time to finance the upgrades of their computer systems so that they can more efficiently track criminals. A little big-brotherish to some, but if done
correctly it should reduce […]

Give me a freaking break! You can’t credibly say Wildfires May Be Linked to Global Warming without discussing the forestry rules first. Rules that, in the name of whacko environmentalism (versus legitimate environmentalism), prevent anyone from cleaning up deadfalls and keeping the fire breaks cleared.
Now add to this that, if they were […]

Since the “conservative” won it must have been grand theft by the Bush Administration. When they were tearing down our Constitutional rights and burning down buildings with kids in them in the 90’s we were called conspiracy nuts….. Now that they’re no longer able to push their ACLU agenda through so easily the […]

I’m seriously disappointed and frankly put little stock in these results. Only 64%? Sheesh! What a crock….
***You Are 64% Cynical***
You’re a full blown cynic… and probably even skeptical of these results.
You have your optimistic moments, but most likely you keep them to yourself.
How Cynical Are You?

“May it be to the world, what I believe it will be, (to some parts sooner, to others later, but finally to all,) the signal of arousing men to burst the chains under which monkish ignorance and superstition had persuaded them to bind themselves, and to assume the blessings and security of self-government. That form […]

“The day of our nation’s birth in that little hall in Philadelphia, [was] a day on which debate had raged for hours. The men gathered there were honorable men hard-pressed by a king who had flouted the very laws they were willing to obey. Even so, to sign the Declaration of Independence was such an […]

“In its main features the Declaration of Independence is a spiritual document. It is a declaration not of material but spiritual conceptions. Equality, liberty, popular sovereignty, the rights of man—these are not elements which we can see and touch. They are ideals. They have their source and their roots in religious convictions. They belong to […]

“It ought to be commemorated, as the Day of Deliverance by solemn Acts of Devotion to God Almighty. It ought to be solemnized with Pomp and Parade, with Shews, Games, Sports, guns, Bells, Bonfires and Illuminations from one End of this Continent to the other from this Time forward forever more.” —John Adams
