This Global Warming & Coal fired Electricity

As a quick followup to the sulfur Global Warming Fix; I was listening to a discussion today on “clean coal technology” involving gassing coal to remove the methane so that they do not have to burn the coal itself. One of the problems with Indiana coal verses coal from, say, Utah, is a high sulfur content. Modernized coal fired electric generating plants have all kinds of scrubbers to clean the emissions, and while I’m certainly a proponent of clean air, it does come with a price.

But… if introducing sulfur to the atmosphere will help reduce global warming then have these very same environmentalists that insisted we cap the sulfur emissions of our electric generating facilities not actually contributed to global warming by legislatively forcing a reduction sulfur emissions?
