BMW R1100R
Part of my day off today was spent at a local bike shop. Not much there in the way of cruisers suitable for the missus and me but an ugly duckling in the corner absolutely caught my eye, a BMW R1100R. It was in excellent condition, doubly so since the odometer showed 61k miles though for their reputation, that’s not much for an 11 year old BMW. Still, as much as I prefer the upright sit of this style bike, whether BMW or a Japanese counterpart, the center of gravity is a bit high. At the same time the additional ground clearance is a plus for my neck of the woods.
What I’ve been keeping my eye open for is something that could conceivably be the next and last motorcycle I buy so the longevity and endurance of the BMW is certainly appealing.
