Riding the grub line?
That seems to be exactly what we did today, too. After mowing the yard and a few other chores we pulled out on the bike around 2PM and trotted down to the local custom shop to checkout helmets and leather. Of course we’d not eaten lunch yet so when we left there we headed south for Taco Bell. The Missus had decided she wanted a pair of smoke goggles (rather than my clear night goggles) so we headed toward the HD shop on the south side of Plainfield. There I saw a Harley I really liked (a 60’s looking 1200, sky blue metalic with chrome spoke wheels) while the Missus tracked down goggles. Turns out she found a pair exactly like I’d picked up at the HD/Honda shop on 96th Street so must standard fare.
From there up to D’ville and… Dairy Queen for blizzards. Yes, we got the small ones.
After cruising around town and the old neighborhoods it was Pizza Hut for some Pepsi. Then tanked up, $2.11 for premium, nice. Another turn around town then out to drop by a bud’s house. Caught them heading out and chatted with him and his mother for several minutes. By now it’s getting dark and we’re getting hungry - again. So back to to town, dinner at Mayberry’s. Dinner done we walked 7 blocks (big circle) and as soon as we got settled into the saddle, rain drops. Fortunately only a few.
This whole thing could be a bad idea. I mean we could be eating our way into an 1800!
