.243″ Pistol for Deer?

Sometime in the last several years Indiana has made the .243 diameter bullet acceptable and reference to maximum case length seems to have disappeared as well. At the same time the rules proposed for this year to allow pistol cartridge rifles for deer still reflects the old numbers I’m familiar with, minumum .357 diameter and max case length of 1.625″. Considering I’ve a few rifles that fit this description there is a long shot that 2007 season may see me hunting again.
