Putin: The rumors of our demise….
When the wall came down and the old Empire crumbled a lot of optimists thought that was the end of the Soviet system. And while it may have been the end of that system it certainly was not the end of the Russian Bear nor their military ambitions. Putin has been rattling his saber for a number of years and much of his rhetoric has been indistinguishable from much cold war rhetoric. And his constant intrigue in partnering with the most vociferous anti-American nation-states such as Venezuela, Cuba, Iran, Syria. Even the intercept drills are frighteningly reminiscent of the cold-war era.
