US adults in political darkness
It is no surprise to me that two-thrids of US adults are in the dark about world politics. The constant bombardment of our media on such stupidity as Lindsy Lohan and Anna Nicole takes up most front page headlines as American media struts the 1% as normal. How long before we simply tune out because those who espouse to “inform America” simply aren’t doing their jobs. And when you do find an outlet for news that leaves out the parade of perverts everything is covered in such a pessimistic way that what we might learn about the goings on in another country is all bad news. Unless they’re communists or socialists, then it’s all good news. Unless you’re France and just elected a conservative, talk about a news 180!
A few months ago I stopped reading the news so in depth on a daily basis and you know, my moods have been a lot better for it!
Hmmm, I think I need to add a DUH! or DOH! category….
