62 Degrees and 110 Miles
Though not sunny it was 62 degrees here in central Indiana today. As long as it isn’t pouring rain I can handle the dreary overcast day, wet roads, drizzle and road spray for an opportunity to spend a bit of quality time with the VTX. As usually happens when there are other places to go just getting home to my gear in the early afternoon proved a challenge and it was 3:30pm before I had the leathers on and the condensation wiped off the X. But 3 hours and 110 miles later, and well after sundown I finally put the X away though the smile still lingers these 4 hours later.
The lack of bikes out today was a bit surprising, I only passed a Road King (rider had no gear on so likely just a scoot around town), 3 crotch rockets riding formation and on the return leg another Harley cruiser I was too occupied driving to identify further. I know, some people actually “winterize” their rides and don’t touch them from October through May.. what a disturbing way to abuse a motorcycle….
Now if only my hand wind deflectors would get here I’ll be good down to 30 degrees…
