Polls
Polls have been unliable measures of political will in America for a long time. Locally the polls have been wrong the last few election cycles and the inaccuracy gap has been widening to the point polls published locally are a popular target of ridicule.
The trend continues elsewhere around the country but ever so visible today in New Hampshire. So glaring is the error and so fearful are the pollsters that people will stop believing their data that they’re carefully acting as though New Hampshire is some fluke rather than the norm in their business.
And the reason is not only money… what would happen in America if the general population ceased to believe in the polled economic doom, the approval ratings of the administration and other portents of doom the media always backs up with poll data from 200 people surveyed in line at StarBucks….
