They were warned before even putting the proposition on the ballot that it was illegal but they didn’t listen and now the citizens of San Francisco are paying for the legal fees to defend, and loose, a lawsuit. And the judge ruled municipalities can’t ban people from owning handguns. The law also banned the manufacture of firearms and ammunition within the city which was considered by most to mean no “reloading” of your own ammunition as well.
