Motorcycle Parts Source

There are only a few places I spend my money for motorcycle accessories. it is typically only after I’ve shopped HDL that I look elsewhere - J&P, Cruiser Customizing and an asorted half-dozen others for specialized VTX parts.

In my recent search for an exhaust system for my VTX I ultimately decided on the Roadhouse Brand Classics. The primary reason to even replace the stock exhaust was clearance for the Jumbo Strong Bags which at 40 liters each demand some clearance. (though they have bike specific mounting NOW it has to set the bags higher than I’d like, there just isn’t any other way with the stock Retro) But I digress…

Roadhouse Brand has undergone some internal turmoil in recent months which have resulted in back orders as the new owners integrate the new company into their own and get production up and running again. As I understand it from various sources they’re getting things in order now, it is just taking time.

With Spring almost here getting the pipes ordered, especially if I’m going to have to deal with a potentially long back order, was an imperative and after some phone calls and judicious Googling I finally found Monkey Butt Parts who not only had the set I needed listed but in stock. Granted they’re probably old production but as the model isn’t changing much that’s ok.

Anyway, the pipes arrived 2 days later and for $80-90 less than most others listing them but with no inventory. Since then the pipes are fully installed and I’m overall happy with the pipes. But after subsequent email conversations I’m even more happy with the continued good service I get from Jeff at Monkey Butt Parts.
