Surveillance has its place and its uses but it is not a substitute for a .38 in your pocket.

just like my employers property , when driving through the parking lot you might think you are on the grounds of a maximum security prison , but let someone steal $50 worth of gas out of your truck and get told , “oh those cameras aren’t high enough quality to tell who the person was , and I was less than 50 feet from the camera and it was pointed right at my truck.
But let me take anything out the back door and I bet I would be shown the video and then fired.
You were right a gun is your best form of defense anymore.
