The Jefferson Raid
Where is that big effort by Democrats to root out corruption in Washington? I guess its all well and good as long as the corrupt are not other Democrats. Now I agree with the court in upholding the Constitution in this case - political corruption in the due course of being a congressman or senator should be safe from prosecution - but where are the Democrats in sanctioning this guy on the floor?
I mean if it was good enough for Tom DeLay (on which there was much much less evidence) it ougt to be good enough for Jefferson with $90k in payoff cash (which they video taped him accepting btw) in his home freezer.
