D.C. Gun Ban Ruling Coming Tomorrow
I’m a bit leery of the court ruling on the D.C. gun ban for it will be a distinct indicator of the direction of the country. And I am less than optimistic because there are people who buy this load of bravo sierra:
A ruling that the District’s gun ban is unconstitutional “would grant courts unprecedented authority to nullify elected officials’ decisions to adopt laws they believe are necessary to protect their communities from gun violence,” the Brady Campaign says on its Web site.
No kidding. The whole point of the courts, and a duty they even occasionally fulfill, is to keep politicians and government from running amok.
