Nothing for the Nation - Who Got What Out of Iraq

The author of Nothing for the Nation - Who Got What Out of Iraq is none other than my own former congressman, John Hostettler, who was turned out of office in 2006. He like a few other staunch big “C” Hoosier Conservatives were turned out that year with little support from the national party for reasons which I’ve written of before.

Though I’m a “fan” of the former congressman the excerpts of his new book raise questions in my own mind to his motivations. What eases those reservations is how outspoken he was in 2002, for speaking out after 2005 would easily classify his endeavor as typical political maneuvering.

Skepticism dating back to the original 2002 war debates in the House highlights in part why Hostettler was turned out in ‘06 with little party support and gives more credence to his writing efforts.

I guess I’ll have to go buy a copy….
