People were made for Kings
I find this quote from James Madison quite relevant considering the political machinations currently underway for what many fallaciously call “Decision 2008″
“We have heard of the impious doctrine in the old world, that the people were made for kings, not kings for the people. Is the same doctrine to be revived in the new, in another shape…?”
Unless they’re rock stars… then we have to revise it for 2008:
…. that the fans were made for rock-stars, not rock-stars for the fans….
Somehow I don’t think this would fly with the rock’n'roll nor hip-hop crowd. But we’ll accept it in “leadership” and politics. Go figure.
