Seven Hours

That is how long it took me to get home tonight (70 miles). I left the office at 1:30PM and arrived home at 8:30PM having spent almost 3 hours of it sitting on highway. 36 which they had literally shut down.

At the end of it all, 1 mile from home, the road was so covered in ice I couldn’t even get up the hill and literally slid backward about 60 feet. Fortunately, I knew I’d be needing a 4×4 and recently bought one. So I only had to wait about 20 minutes for the Missus to catch up (she left her work 23 miles away at 3PM) to me and pick me up. I’ll retrieve the car when it thaws in the morning.

Last Friday I worked from home due to a forecast that never materialized so today I went to work.

BIG MISTAKE.

The next time I feel guilty deciding to work from home because the weather forecast didn’t get as bad as they said I will only need to refer to this post.

So, how ’bout this Global Warming?
