New Phone!
After 3 years of the Treo I finally have something new, an HTC Touch Pro. I’ve only been considering the HTC phones for a year or so but being the cheap skate that I am I’ve resisted the upgrade even on the company’s dime. But another Treo failure at the office pushed me back to considering an upgrade. Yet I still hesitated… a colleague pushed me over the edge though, by dropping the new phone on my desk after lunch today! THANKS TRAV!
Yes, sadly its still Windows Mobile but other than Blackberry’s there aren’t any non-Windows “Smart Phones” offered by Verizon these days. (I don’t really dislike the Blackberry but don’t care for the email handling) Verizon doesn’t even offer the Treo any longer so I’m wondering how much of my problems were Treo problems – not necessarily Windows problems…. time will tell.
In the meantime, I have a new toy that ought to make my mobile life a bit easier. And with summer coming the idea of not having to carry a laptop all the time is most certainly appealing.
