Scientists see this flu strain as relatively mild
While the various world organizations and governments make sure this “crisis doesn’t go to waste” there are scientists who see this flu strain as relatively mild.
the current outbreak of the H1N1 virus, which emerged in San Diego and southern Mexico late last month, may not even do as much damage as the run-of-the-mill flu outbreaks that occur each winter without much fanfare.
Who’d have thought the government and media would blow something like this so completely out of proportion???

Of course the media will sensationalize anything. Its how they sell advertising.
By the same token, I’d rather the government take a viral outbreak seriously until we at least know for sure what we’re dealing with. The thing is, if it really was a serious problem, our government is just as likely to downplay it so as to seem completely in control. So, you can never really tell what the truth is.
Unfortunately, I take the view that it is only a matter of time before the world is hit with something that is truly pandemic, and the mass urbanization of society is going to make it a whopper.
Of course, people that live in sparsely populated areas and who rarely utilize public transportation will be much better off.
