Schwarzenegger tells motorcyclists to pipe down, signs noise bill

Wednesday, September 29th, 2010

So now Schwarzenegger has signed a bill reinforcing a 27-year-old federal regulation that is rarely enforced. I seem to remember Arizona did that and the Fed is suing them. Any bets there’s no lawsuit over this one? On the topic of the actual law I dislike it and I dislike obnoxiously loud pipes. Any nuisance [...]

Android 2.2 aka Froyo for the DROID X

Friday, September 24th, 2010

Seems Verizon has released 2.2 for the DROID X. Took a whole 15 minutes to make the update. Now to see if it makes a difference other than having to dance around a new VZ Navigator icon in my apps list…

DROID X

Friday, September 10th, 2010

So far I love the Droid X. The screen is huge, bright and crisp. Coming off Windows Mobile phones “responsive” simply hasn’t been in my lexicon where smart phones are concerned but the Droid X is very fast and highly responsive. Yet again today they call and tried to sell me telephone service since I have their business internet and cable television services feeding the employee break room. [...]

Oh now this could get interesting… Committee on the Judiciary has scheduled a hearing entitled Firearms in Commerce: Assessing the Need for Reform in the Federal Regulatory Process for Tuesday, September 14, 2010 at 10:00 a.m. in Room 226 of the Dirksen Senate Office Building. Now I’m not sure which this is so it could [...]

Obama Administration Forbids Sale of 850,000 Antique Rifles

Friday, September 3rd, 2010

The Obama Administration has reversed authorization to bring 850,000 M1 Garand and Carbines into the US for the collector market. This would have been another shipment of Korean M1′s and I suspect some were heading for the DCM. For over a year proponents of the current Administration have asked for evidence of what the President [...]
