Union Jobs and Required Roles
I have family that went through essentially the same thing only it was the printers union. In their business the union was requiring them to employ typesetters, for example, in the digital age. A role most are aware has been made completely irrelevant by modern printing technology. Now that was probably a decade ago but then it was also private business. So when dealing with government I’m not surprised that Detroit is still employing a horseshoer in their Water Department yet have no horses.
